If you do not go here on a daily basis you really should. This blog has great information and is one of my favorite design sites. Their latest article was a Showcase of Modern Navigation Design Trends which featured  the Communication Design deptartments navigation menu under the "Unusual Shapes" category. "The main menu for Kutztown University is unusual in many ways. First, it’s positioned in the middle of the page, towards the bottom, whereas primary menus are typically located higher up.
